Swara Acacia Lodge
Located just 36 kilometres from the capital, Swara Acacia Lodge provides residents as well as local and international visitors of Nairobi a swift and exquisite escape to the wilderness in-between their busy schedules.
Nestled in the 20,000-acres of AKWCA member Swara Plains Conservancy, the lodge has 22 rustic bandas and enjoys 100 kilometres of trails that lead to over 3,000 game animals, making a game drive a must-do at Swara. For the birders at heart, the conservancy’s 300 avian species provide a heck of an enthralling experience.
Rimpa Estates Wildlife Conservancy
“Rimpa” is a Maasai word meaning “a place of no lack”. The AKWCA member Rimpa Estate Wildlife Conservancy lives up to its name with plentiful wildlife that includes gazelles, zebras and giraffes, which graze side by side with the livestock from the Rimpa Livestock Breeding Ranch.
Snuggled under indigenous acacia trees, some 25 kilometres from Nairobi, the conservancy offers an array of adventures and activities, including sunset game drives, hiking, camping, birdwatching and picnics, against the backdrop of the idyllic views of Ngong Hills.
Lerai Safari Camp
Lerai Safari Camp is nuzzled along the seasonal Muliban river in the greater Masai Mara ecosystem in AKWCA member Olerai Conservancy—a private conservancy spanning 5,000 acres of isolated plains teeming with wildlife and migratory routes for wildebeests, zebras, elephants and antelopes.
The camp is a 25-minutes drive from the Olkiombo airstrip and offers a truly multidimensional African safari, combining a stylish and luxurious canvas tent camp experience with the thrill of night game drives and hot air balloon safaris in between guided bushwalks, birdwatching, horse riding and a visit to the local manyattas.
Maanzoni Lodge
Maanzoni Lodge is set on a 10,000-acre ranch with beautiful views of the tropical savannah grasslands at the heart of Lukenya, a 40-minute drive from the Nairobi city centre and 25 minutes from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
